In this interactive session, participants will deepen their understanding of writing instruction as it aligns to Georgia’s K-12 ELA Standards with a focus on using techniques to craft purpose-driven texts. The GaDOE ELA Team will share evidence-based practices for explicit writing instruction. Educators will engage in hands-on activities and discussions to explore the integration and stand-alone application of techniques within and across genres; they will leave with a toolkit of instructional strategies and resources to support student learning and engagement. This workshop is available as a K-5 or 6-12 full-day, in-person session.
