(K-2) Dyslexia in Focus: Recognizing the Signs & Responding with Structured Literacy with Keegan Wilson

This professional learning experience grounded in structured literacy and the science of reading, designed to deepen educators understanding of dyslexia and strengthen their ability to recognize early signs in the classroom. Educators will explore the characteristics of dyslexia across grade levels and examine how these signs present in phonological awareness, decoding, spelling, fluency, and written expression.

Participants Will:

· Identify early and later signs of dyslexia in literacy development

· Analyze student profiles and classroom scenarios

· Explore evidence aligned instructional routines in phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension

· Engage in hands on, multimodal strategies that support memory, language processing, and executive functioning

· Leave with practical tools, routines, and resources ready for immediate classroom implementation
